Through film, we aim to connect different geographies and generations of experience, fostering critical dialogue on the world’s unfinished stories of struggle, survival, and change.
Submissions may explore, among others:
- Armed conflicts and their human cost
- Revolutions and social uprisings
- Migration, displacement, and exile
- Systems of oppression and movements of resistance
- Testimonies, remembrance, and post-conflict societies
- Media, propaganda, and historical narratives
- Women’s rights, and gender-based violence in times of conflict
- Gender identity, and queer experiences in restrictive or hostile environments

Competitive Section: Short Films (max 30 min)
Awards
Best Short Film (Jury Award) and Audience Award.
Eligibility
Films produced in 2022, 2023, 2024, or 2025.
Work-in-progress versions are not eligible unless specifically invited.
Running TimeShort Films: up to 30 minutes (including credits).
Premiere & Screening History - No requirement for world or international premiere. Serbian premiere preferred for competition. Films already publicly screened or distributed are eligible.
Language & Subtitles - Films must be presented in their original language. If not in English, English subtitles are required for both screener and screening copy.
Acceptable formats of screeners: password-protected online links (Vimeo preferred) or FilmFreeway screeners. Downloading should be disabled unless requested. Watermarks are acceptable if they do not obstruct viewing.
Screening Formats (for Selected Films)
Primary format: DCP (2K/4K, JPEG2000, XYZ). Alternative formats: ProRes 422 HQ or H.264 (by prior approval). 24fps or 25fps preferred; other frame rates by prior agreement. The festival may request a clean, text-free master with separate subtitles. Materials (upon Selection) Selected films must provide: short and long synopsis, director bio and filmography, 3–5 stills, poster, trailer link.
Shipping & Insurance
Filmmakers cover outbound shipping costs. The festival covers return shipping and insures screening copies while in custody. Programming & RightsThe festival reserves the right to determine section placement, screening dates, and use short excerpts for promotion.

Fees & Waivers
Waivers may be granted for filmmakers from marginalized or underfunded regions.
